It’s no secret the NRA has been a leading advocate of Hunters for the Hungry programs since the early 1990s. This November, we advance our advocacy and celebrate our creation of National Wild Game Meat Donation Month to inspire hunters everywhere to share surplus game.

The NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum has announced the return of support for the Hunters for the Hungry subsidy program. A total of $60,000 has been committed to fund HFH affiliates throughout the country to cover the cost of processing, shipping and distributing donated meat.

As part of the organization’s 150-year stewardship of shooting and hunting, the NRA in 2016 created the Hunters’ Leadership Forum to push against the demonization of hunting.

The NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum (HLF) is pleased to announce a new level of support for Hunters for the Hungry (HFH), including the creation of a $50,000 fund available to affiliates throughout the country.

As NRA members and hunters, we have the responsibility to increase our ranks. Through our NRA memberships, we have all the resources needed to do exactly that. So what's stopping you?

NRA Hunters’ Leadership Forum contributor Tim Flanigan of Bedford, Pa., received the Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers Association’s (M-DOWA) First Place Talbot Denmead Memorial Award for “Best on Conservation and/or the Environment,” for “Who Really Cares About Conservation,” his article published at NRAHLF.org.
