Scouring the internet in search of hunting mentor programs can be a pain, so we’ve done the legwork for you. Here’s our list of mentor hunting programs, state by state, as well as some non-governmental organizations (NGOs) new hunters may find helpful before they go afield in pursuit of game.

The third annual Benelli USA Invitational Shoot drew 152 shooters from within the outdoor industry and raised more than $55,000 for Freedom Hunters on Friday, Sept. 15.

Benelli has announced the third annual Benelli USA Invitational, a team-based sporting clays competition that raises money for Freedom Hunters. The shoot will be held on Sept. 15, 2017, at Prince George's County Trap and Skeet in Glen Dale, Maryland.

The second annual Benelli USA Invitational, hosted on Sept. 9, drew 214 shooters and raised more than $31,000 for the organization Freedom Hunters, which supports outdoor opportunities for active duty and combat veterans.

When you're offered a chance to bust some clays and raise money for a great cause while doing so, you don't say no. It was with that in mind that four members of the NRA Publications department ventured to Queenstown, Md., on Sept. 11, 2015, for the inaugural Benelli Invitational.
