When most hunters think about rifles from Kimber, the first thing that comes to mind is usually price, which is typically several hundred dollars above a grand. But the latest rifle from Kimber, the Model 84M Hunter, isn't a typical offering from the company.

Yes, Savage Arms is best-known for its rifles. But that doesn't mean shotguns are out of the question. For 2016, the company has rolled out its custom Model 212 and 220 turkey shotguns, which are meant to redefine the look and capability of a turkey gun. Both firearms are available through the company's Special Order Department.

Lightweight and accurate, the Mountain Ascent rifle from Kimber features a Kevlar-reinforced carbon fiber stock for added durability. With a barreled action finished in Shade Gray KimPro II, the Mountain Ascent rifle has a fluted barrel and bolt which cuts unnecessary weight, and a muzzle brake with cap that helps reduce felt recoil.

The powerful, big-bore "Texan" from AirForce Airguns features a two-stage trigger that releases a sizable burst of air from its 490cc removable and refillable air tank, driving .457-cal. projectiles in excess of 1000 fps. It's purported to be the most production air rifle on the market. But does that claim hold water?
