The NRA Women's Leadership Forum began more than a decade ago, and has since grown into one of the largest and most influential philanthropic groups within NRA. This weekend, at the 145th NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Louisville, the organization will host its annual gathering. Weatherby and Leupold have teamed up to support the Women's Leadership Forum and NRA alike, and will be offering a special rifle and riflescope combination package for auction at the event.

Women are the fastest growing segment of hunting and the shooting sports, which is no surprise judging from the crowds of women at the NRA Annual Meetings in Indianapolis, Apr. 25-27.

The like-minded women of the NRA are bringing new life and new energy into the organization in the name of freedom and friendship.

In the July 2015 issue of American Hunter, we wrote about how the National Rifle Association supports wildlife conservation through the Women’s Wildlife Management/Conservation Scholarship (WWMCS). The scholarship is the 2006 brainchild of the Women’s Policies Committee of the NRA and is intended to help preserve national resources for future generations through educational subsidies. We thought it would be interesting to follow the career track of one who put the scholarship to good use, the 2009 WWMCS recipient, Samantha Pedder.
