I'm on the ground in Las Vegas and getting ready to venture out to 2013's Media Day at the Range, which is almost undoubtedly the best part of SHOT Show.
Taking place in Boulder City, Nev., Media Day at the Range offers SHOT Show exhibitors a chance to show off their latest wares to the press—the difference being that, on this day, we get to put the new products to work. Nearly 150 exhibitors will be on hand, and it's a rare opportunity to try out dozens of new products in one setting.
There are plenty of new items I'm looking forward to trying—especialy Chiappa's Triple Threat shotgun—from companies throughout the industry. Winchester, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Remington and all the rest will be there, and we'll do our best to make sure you feel like you're in the desert today, too.
