And the Winner is.......

To re-cap last month's contest post, this monster muley was taken by Dave Krein in 2005 during Kansas' muzzleloader season. When Jeff Johnston, fellow blogger and deer maniac, forwarded me the picture of this horse, it took me about two seconds to start frantically searching for mule deer outfitters in the Midwest.

We asked readers to score this buck for a chance to win free stuff. Well, you guys did awesome. We received some 40 guesses on this muley's score, and it's time to reveal the answer.

The official Boone & Crockett typical score was 175 7/8 inches, which makes for one heck of a nice trophy. Congrats again go out to Mr. Krein.

I'd also like to congratulate Charles Kirby for guessing 175 1/2 and hitting this nail almost square on the head. Kirby will be receiving his three-pack of Code Blue's new Grave Digger Scrape Mate in the mail very soon.

Until next time boys and girls, thanks for playing! We'll be testing your scoring mettle again sometime in the near future.
