In case you haven't noticed, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) was not elected vice president of the United States on November 6. No doubt he was disappointed, as well we all were that an NRA-endorsed hunter wouldn't be moving into the White House. However, Ryan did receive one nice consolation prize: the opportunity to go pheasant hunting with his brothers, Stan, left, and Tobin, right.
Ryan's staff posted the photo to his official Twitter account on November 9, just three days after the election, with the caption, "Paul getting dinner with his brothers." I find it intereresting that bird hunting was practically his first order of business following a stressful, hard-fought election. The hunt wasn't a photo-op; it was a means to unwind. And sometimes that's what bird hunting's all about.
