Claim: HSUS Seeks "Wild Bird Executioner"

8/22/2011

As we've discussed in the past, house cats belong in the house, as feral felines have a serious, unnatural impact on wild bird populations.

However, the Humane Society of the United States prefers its deluded worldview to the science of real wildlife conservation. The Wildlife Society (TWS) reports that HSUS seeks a "Director of Cat Protection and Policy" whose duties will include "humanely managing feral cat populations"—in other words, interfering with any actual feral-cat management.

TWS says the position may as well be called "Wild Bird Executioner," noting that feral cats kill up to 1 million birds per day.
