How to Pre-Season Scout

8/29/2011

When scouting for deer before the season you have to be careful not to educate them. Use locations where you can watch feeding areas; however, be sure to use locations where you can slip in and, more importantly, slip out of without spooking deer.

Right now you’re just trying to determine what bucks you have in your hunting area.

Some of these bucks, however, will disperse in a few weeks and others might move in. Nevertheless, this is a good time to glass fields because this is the time when the deer are the most visible.
