Here Come the Ducks!

With eastern Canada bracing for cold, and highs in the Dakotas expected to remain below freezing through Thanksgiving, Delta Waterfowl says the duck migration has kicked into high gear:

“We’re seeing huge movements of ducks and geese migrating over the last few days,” says John Devney, Delta’s Senior Vice President based in Bismarck, North Dakota. “They’re riding the strong north winds southward.”

It's an exciting time of year, my friends. I don't think this weather system will result in numbers of  "Grand Passage" porportions, but it looks like much of the country can expect a push of birds in coming days.
