Build Bowshooting Skills with 3-D Targets

Putting a sticker in the middle of your 3-D target's vitals creates just the bullseye you need to keep you aiming small as you hone those broadside and quartering-away shots.

Remember that “Aim small, hit small” tip from last week? Here’s an easy way to practice that rule if you happen to be using a 3-D target such as this whitetail buck from Delta McKenzie instead of a block or bag target that already sports a small printed bullseye.

Put a 1- or 2-inch sticker in the vitals area of your 3-D target then practice shooting it from different angles and shooting positions. You'll get to hone various broadside and quartering-away shots while simulating shooting from a sitting position in a blind or a standing position from a treestand. Your 3-D target also will keep you focused on the shot you need to make to ensure your arrow passes through the game animal's vitals.
