An Illinois man was bear hunting with friends when he spotted a bear and shot it, but instead of dropping, the bear charged and attacked the man. After the bear ran off, the man was taken to a nearby trauma center, where he is now in stable condition.
According to the local Sheriff's office, the man's hunting companions returned to the scene of the attack, found the bear and killed it. It will be tested for rabies.
