Thompson/Center has issued a recall for all Icon, Venture and Dimension rifles produced before June 2013, citing a mechanical condition that may cause the safety lever to bind and not fully engage.

The company has stated that closing the bolt may move the safety to the fire position, and has issued the recall as a cautionary procedure. Thompson/Center is asking owners of Icon, Venture and Dimension rifles to stop using their guns and return them for examination and repair. All shipping and repair costs will be covered by the company.

If you own an Icon, Venture or Dimension rifle, you should contact the Thompson/Center customer service department. A pre-paid shipping label will be provided so you can send your gun in.

Alternatively, you can call Thompson/Center's customer service department at 800-713-0355.

I already had to send my Venture in once last year for a recall. Now another? What will it be recalled for next year?
