If Ms. Patterson bought her land after the shooting range had already been in operation, then it is her hard luck. And since when can a law-abiding citizen own and use a "machine gun"? Whoever wrote this piece needs to make sure of their wording before going to press. If I were the town, and serious about this issue, I would trade land with Dr. Land, if the town has land on it's outskirts, and pay for half the cost of building a new shooting range. Sorry, but this smells like anti-gun sentiment to me. I would not necessarily like to hear the rattle of gunfire right next door to my land, but again, it truly sounds like to me that Ms. Patterson moved in after the range was in operation. Buy the man out, or be quiet.
