Doug Giles has written for American Hunter magazine, he is a popular conservative writer and is the host of Clash Radio, but you may be even more familiar with his daughters. His 22-year-old daughter Hannah is the journalist behind the ACORN prostitution/tax evasion sting. His 19-year-old daughter Regis has written for American Hunter, she hosts the website girlsjustwannahaveguns.com and she has a hunting show about to air called “Primal Urge.” Doug raised his girls to be ladies of action.
This book explains how he accomplished this despite today’s pop culture; as a result, Raising Righteous & Rowdy Girls is a how-to guide to raising girls to be hunters, shooters and resilient ladies. This book shows how to teach your daughter(s) to fight, shoot, sense BS, be classy, party without going Britney, as well as to hunt. A wonderful gem near the end is a chapter titled “The Ten Commandments for My Daughter’s Potential Boyfriends.” Its fifth commandment is: “Thou shall understand that you are a boy talking to a man … . I’ve been in many fights. I’ve shot at felons. I’ve spent years in Tae Kwon Do. I’ve traveled the planet. You, on the other hand, use Proactiv and drive a Ford Focus; therefore, you will call me ‘Mr. Giles’ and my wife ‘Mrs. Giles’ until we tell you any different.” Now that’s a refreshing American voice.
