Park Lion Kills Drugged Elk
After being hit with a sedation dart by a research crew, a bull elk fell to the ground and was immediately attacked and killed by a Custer State Park lion.

At Custer State Park in South Dakota, a helicopter crew was shooting sedation darts at cow elk so the animals could be better handled for a research project. After being shot with a dart, one elk staggered into some vegetation and was immediately attacked and killed by a nearby mountain lion.
