A bald eagle that was found dead has been identified as one of Alaska's oldest with the help of a band on the eagle's leg.

Authorites were able to identify a Kodiak Island bald eagle that was found dead as one of Alaska's oldest with the help of a band on the eagle's leg. The oldest documented eagle in the country was a 32-year-old bird from Maine; this Alaskan eagle was 25.
