In a state-wide crack down, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has filed poaching charges against 137 individuals.

In a major state-wide crack down, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has filed poaching charges against 137 individuals. The charges stemmed from a state initiative, nammed "Operation Dark Night," that tracked the illegal taking of deer using an artifical light.
