NJ Bear Attacks Two Boys

While camping in Stokes State Forest in New Jersey, two young boys were attacked by a bear and sustained minor injuries.

According to New Jersey state officials, a young bear attacked two boys in Stokes State Forest in the early morning on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. The victims were a 12-year-old from Jersey City and an 11-year-old from Brooklyn who were camping in the forest as part of a children's summer camp.

The attack was reported around 5 a.m., and when officials arrived on the scene they shot the bear in the neck.

The boys sustained minor wounds and were taken to a nearby hospital.
