This year Oklahoma lawmakers enacted a law that would create harsher penalties for illegally killing an animal in the state. A poacher that kills a trophy deer could face a hefty $5,000 fine. Under the new law, Oklahoma wildlife officials established a guideline to determine each animal's worth.
