In a vote yesterday, Maine lawmakers rejected a bill that would have outlawed the use of traps and dogs while hunting bears in the state. While the voting results were 11-0 against the bill, the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee decided to keep several bear hunting proposals for future consideration.
