Louisiana Has Record Waterfowl Season

A recent report revealed that waterfowl hunters in the state of Louisiana harvested 2.7 million ducks in the 2010-11 season.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's most recent Migratory Bird Hunting Activity and Harvest report revealed that waterfowl hunters in the state of Louisiana harvested 2.7 million ducks in the 2010-11 season.

Louisiana's waterfowl numbers topped every other state in the U.S.

The state alone accounts for 18 percent of the nation's overall harvest. With hunters factored in, Louisiana's harvest equates to 30.6 ducks per hunter this season.
