Compared to the harsh foreign desert where Trijicon sights earn American soldiers’ praise for ruggedness and fast target acquisition, taking one on an Alaska cruise should be easy duty, right? Well…not so fast. Coastal Alaska in springtime is indeed a wonderland for tourists, but if your cruise involves getting off the boat and mixing it up with giant brown bears, a hunter’s equipment is bound to get some hard knocks. Check out John Zent's blog and photo coverage, detailing each step of his thrilling Alaskan adventure.

Most readers of outdoor magazines, AMERICAN HUNTER included, read articles to learn something: species, technique, gear, LOCATION, etc. Alaska is a big place and general location info (SE Alaska, AK Peninsula, Kodiak Is, etc) would help readers dream a bit... and wouldn't hurt the guide's business
