Colorado Officials in Standoff with Bear
A four-hour standoff between Colorado wildlife officials and a 200-bound bear in a tree resulted in a then-unconscious bear stuck in a tree.

A four-hour standoff took place between officials from Colorado's Division of Wildlife and a 200-pound bear that climbed up a tree in the downtown area of Collbran. Officials shot the bear with six tranquilzer darts six before it became unconscious, but by then it was stuck in the tree.
