A Pennsylvania archery hunter was attacked by a bear while hunting from his tree stand and fell 15 feet to the ground as he tried to fight it off. Authorities believe the attack was the result of a mother bear protecting her cubs.

This is why in Alaska most hunters carry a large caliber handgun. A rule that should be allowed in the lower 48!
