Alaska Rep Refuses Humane Society Award
An Alaskan Congressman has refused an award by The Humane Society of the United States to honor his work for animals in 2010.

Alaskan Congressman Don Young has refused an award that was to be given to him by The Humane Society of the United States to honor his work for animals in 2010. When questioned about the refusal, Young underscored that while he endorses the hard work of shelters all over the country, the Society does not actually own or operate any of these animal shelters.
