Chris Cox, Executive Director of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, served as the keynote speaker at the second fundraiser for the Hunter Defense Fund earlier this month, and delivered a powerful message about the attacks hunters and hunting were facing—not just from gun-control advocates, but also from individuals masquerading as sportsmen and women to score political points.
"Election cycle after election cycle, environmentalists and anti-gun groups try to hijack the good name of hunters to promote their extreme agenda," Cox said. "If we are going to protect our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage for current and future generations, it's critical that we stand united. The Hunter Defense Fund plays a significant role in that effort, by uniting hunters in defense of our fundamental rights."
The Hunter Defense Fund is a Super PAC dedicated to counteracting anti-hunters, by working to elect candidates who are dedicated to preserving the hunting heritage of the United States. Contributions from hunters across the country have already totaled more than $100,000.
