NYC to Kill Nuisance Geese, Feed to Needy in Pa.

New York City has annually culled a portion of its nuisance goose population ever since the birds famously brought down U.S. Airways Flight 1549. I have no problem with goose control, but it did seem a tad wasteful to kill the birds and dump them into a landfill. Fortunately this year the geese will feed needy people in Pennsylvania, thanks to a decision by NYC's Department of Environmental Protection. A common-sense decision rendered by NYC government--imagine that!

Video: Crazy Goose Fight Ends Badly

I warned you about hormonal, city geese, did I not? The video below captures a violent encounter between two testosterone-fueled geese. They're entangled like two prize fighthers when suddenly one goose gets the upper-hand, pinching the weaker goose's neck and attempting to choke it out. The weaker goose escapes, but the video doesn't end there—you'll never guess its bizarre conclusion.

Your Worst Nightmare: Hormonal Canada Geese

Suburbia's Canada geese just seem to go insane this time of year. They have little fear of humans, the females get territorial and the lovelorn males just want to fight, all culminating in an extremely high rate of pedestrian-goosings:
