For reasons I cannot explain or justify, I am something of a news junkie. One would think that some old and decrepit coot that lives in a remote area and eschews his neighbors wouldn’t give a hoot in Hades about news events, but every morning on my second cup of coffee I go to my computer and peruse various news websites.
