Great News!

Gun owners have been taking a beating lately—both in the media as well as from some legislatures. But we've recently scored a victory. My home state of Wyoming passed a bill to decriminalize the use of suppressors while hunting wildlife. We joined 24 other states that recognize that it should not cost one his or her hearing just to be a hunter.

Teacher Refused to Grade Reports on Hunting, Guns

When Denton, Texas, High School English teacher Dewey Christian asked a class of seniors to write about anything that interests them, two students chose pretty popular interests in their state: guns and hunting. One student wrote about his experiences hunting and a recent trip to a Cabela's store, while his classmate wrote about attending a gun show in Fort Worth over the weekend.

Where Criminals Get Their Guns

Across all media these days the information is far from accurate when it comes to the culture war waged against gun owners. The topic the other day on a Fox News program was Chicago’s “gun problem.” Of course everyone knows Chicago’s problem is crime committed by thugs who disobey the law, but that didn’t stop one woman from insisting “universal” background checks would cut down the number of guns on the city’s streets. Believe it or not I actually heard her say, “A lot of criminals get their guns from gun stores.” Really? Let’s look at the facts.
