When police responded to a report of illegal turkey hunting in Goshen, Conn., they stumbled upon more than just one crime. Officers arrived at a largely wooded area and found Gary Hall and another man, both dressed in camouflage, engaged in marijuana farming operations. Hall was immediately caught on the scene, while his accomplice—who remains at large—was able to escape.
Police seized planting implements and a number of small marijuana plants ready for transplant. After obtaining a warrant to search Hall's home, they discovered 240 additional plants, a large amount of cash and numerous firearms.
Hall is charged with interfering with police, possession of a controlled substance and cultivation of a controlled substance. He posted a $10,000 bond and is due to appear in court next month.
