Both sides of a heated debate on whether or not New Jersey will allow its first bear hunt in five years met on May 11 to discuss rules for the upcoming fall season.

During the policy hearing, the Environmental Protection Department and Fish and Game Council heard from various independant and state-run groups, clubs and organizations.
