Eight Found Guilty of Illegal Hunting Charges

Eight men who were charged with 31 deer-related crimes were found guilty last month of a variety of third- and fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Eight men—six Ohio residents and 2 Michigan residents—were charged with 31 deer-related crimes, and last month they were found guilty of a wide variety of third- and fourth-degree misdemeanors. An investigation began after Ohio authorities responded to a spotlighting tip and later discovered evidence of a long string of illegal hunting activity. Fines and costs for the convicted men totaled over $5,000.
