Bucks From the BragBoard: Evelyn's Georgia Giant

This dandy buck was busted by Evelyn Poinessa of Colquitt County, Ga. It's just one of the hundreds of shots we've received from our loyal readers for the American Hunter's BragBoard. I always love to see chocolate-horned giants from down South, or anywhere else for that matter. Throughout the year, I'll be highlighting some of my favorites and hoping to sniff one close to this big when I can finally get my bow out in September.
Evelyn didn't mention what he scored but with a 26” beam, 21” inside spread, 5.5” beam circumference, 9.5” G2 and 10.75” G3, there's no doubt he's a brute. Nice buck and a great story, congrats!!

My husband, Jerry, who is a life member of NRA, and I went hunting together. His lease is located in Colquitt County, Georgia. My buck of a lifetime he had been watching for three years on game cameras. We sat together in a double stand and this magnificent buck walked out. This was an unforgettable hunt and truly special since Jerry was sitting with me.
