Before you do anything, check out the video below of an unlikely battle not 300 yards from our sleeping quarters. This is one you don't see every day....if ever.
Day 1, 7:45 p.m. We just arrived in Pleasant Hill, Mo. on a rainy afternoon. It looks like they've had about four inches of rain over the past few hours and the roads are gushing with water. No matter, though, we have checked into this beautiful lodge and are checking out some of the exotic and non-native game that call this ranch home. Super exotics, exotic sheep, elk, red stag and other animals stroll along these open fields, often coming within a few hundred yards of the front porch. A great experience and what is sure to be a great few days.
We are here with Bushnell to check out some of their new stuff for '10 (check back later in the week for more). Tommorow morning we will be headed out for a doe management hunt, so when and if we down a doe we will be processing the meat and sending it to a food bank in the Kansas City area. It's going to be fun, stay tuned.
